It really doesn't matter what brand of memory you use. Most Lenovo notebooks use samsung ram, but again, it really doesn't matter.

Get whatever is the cheapest at www.newegg.com. I usually get Corsair memory because they're usually the cheapest.

from the factory, lenovos come with hynix memory. The brand of the ram doesnt really matter much. Just stick to the better brands like crucial, mushkin, corsair, etc.

Kingston memory was my first upgrade to my T61. In fact, the machine didn't boot even once with the factory-memory condition (1GB). I put the 2GB module first and boot it then for the initial setup.

No problem, happy with it :)

    kingston is a reputable company.
just get the cheapest RAM you can find and make sure to perform memtest on it. you should be good from there

i got 4GB of crucial ram for buy.com for $108 when they had their sale =]

I use mushkin in my desktop and corsair in my laptop. It doesnt really matter as long as you dont buy the value ram from CC or Best Buy. Thinkpads are a lot more picky when it comes to HDD's, (2010) error code because of the EEPROM.
