Have not received the confirmation email even though I purchase on friday, when should I expect to receive it from your experience
I placed my order on Friday and got a confirmation email that it had been received the following Monday night around 9pm. I had to call customer service for everything else like customer number, credit card clearance, tracking number etc. The confirmation number will have a order number that you can reference with customer service.

All is good. Got confirmation yesterday and the T61P is due out for delivery on May 1st. That would make it just 10 days from my order date. The confirmation email confirmed that the order has been shipped and was able to track my laptop this morning. Cheers.

i was sooo close from ordering an sl300. all the sl300's in the outlet show a wxga+ screen, and that is EXACTLY what i want. good price, ok power, 13" wxga+. but i had never seen it with anything but wxga.
it seemed too good to be true. called them up. the csr confirmed 1440x900. almost bit the bullet, but i was still skeptical.
after using the ideas in this thread, i found the fru number for the screen, 42T0632. a different number than on the generic parts list for the sl300, and the 42T0632 cost $150 more. thought i was on to something good. called up the parts department to see if i could get the specs for that screen. after a bit of hold time, he comes back with the only reference he has to fru 42T0632 is in the maintenance manual, which states it is wxga, 1280x800.
damn.
called the sales csr to let them know. again they wanted to read off the web that it's wxga+. i give them the parts number and remind'em that all other literature and past retail has been 1280x800. more hold time, and she's back and concurs, plain ole wxga.
she said they would change the sight, but who knows. a little hold time saved myself the hassle of returning a laptop.
now to find that elusive 13" wxga+ at a great price. -
I can'tbelieve it, the UPS driver just dropped off the laptop. Just 8 days from ordering to my door step. Looking good. Can't say enough for the Lenovo's outlet store.
-
Please keep us posted a to how the product came as in quality, if it was equipped identical to the listing etc. Ordered mine Thurs. 4/24 and have an estimated ship date of 5/01. Still haven't recieved an e-mail but I called and was provided with order status, estimated ship date etc.

My outlet is missing a screw TT.TT, lucky there are 2 extra screw come with the unit

The laptop is in new condition, I can't find anything that would make you think it was anything but new. I can't get the finger scanner to work, but then again, I have never owned a vista os system before. Trying to track down the problem. All of the items listed on the outlet store for this laptop, is as stated. I believe that the 1920 X 1200 screen is very sharp, but hard on the eyes, so changed the dpi for the fonts from 96 dpi to 120, much easier to read now.

Just got my T500 today and it is fantastic! I am thoroughly happy with this laptop although the keyboard sounds a bit louder than I'd like. As previous posters stated, the unit appears new out of the box despite its refurbished sticker. I feel a bit constrained by my small hard drive size but I will burn a backup dvd and then remove one of the partitions tomorrow to free up 9 gigs.
I am very glad that I bought this laptop from the outlet rather than from the main site. -
I am now fully converted to the outlet
Similar to above I cannot believe it but my "new" Y530 came yesterday (I ordered last friday) and the deal is just amazing.
The Y530 came in original box with all accessories including manuals etc. I got a refurbished fully specked out one with P8400, 4GB DDR3, NVIDIA 9500M G for $530, you I can't even find these specs a the store and would be al least +$1000
Looked over the notebook very closely and would really say it is in NEW condition, it was packed in individual plastic etc just like new ones come.
All specs are as listed and installed office professional, firefox, skye etc amazingly fast
Very, very happy will let you guys know if anything changes -
The outlet store just got a new supply to T400/500's. Now is the time to BUY!
My personal favorite: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/Le...Title=ThinkPad T500 Refurbished with Free Bag
The lamest looking one: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/Le...Title=ThinkPad T500 Refurbished with Free Bag
1280 X 800 resolution with IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD (non switchable) for $1600? YUCK -
is it true that the outlet's warranty is only 1 yr and not extendable by lenovo?
-
When I was looking at various Lenovo outlet refurbs the warranty was listed at 1 year and there was no option to extend it anywhere during the process up to and including once it was in the cart.

Whether I shell out $500 or $1000 on a T400, I definitely want it to be and LED based T400. I've seen the difference in CCFL and LED screens, and it's incredible how clear LED screens are.
It's funny though, if you go out to eBay, you can find LED T400s all day long. One seller, ibmfactoryoutlet, has tons of them. I think he's in partnership with Lenovo in some way or another. Not sure on that one. Any opinions? -
I just ordered a nicely configured T500 from ibmfactoryoutlet on ebay, with the live cashback it made the deal even sweeter, they claim they sell redistributed units, mine will arrive tomorrow and I'll let you guys know if its a brand new one, or its been opened and/or used at all.
-
I have had a good experience with ibmfactoryoutlet. I actually thought that they were IBM's official store on ebay, but I have my doubts.
Nevertheless, my T400 was in great shape and new. Maybe open box , but no scratches or any evidence of use. I did not like the LG LED screen. I could not adjust it to get a proper vertical viewing angle. So I asked to return it and they said sure, no problem, and I did not get charged a restocking fee at all. Not even grumpy about it.
Can anyone give their opinion on Lenovo OUTLET?
