    Hi folks,

I've an T400 7417CTO with cracked CCFL 1440x900 screen. Now I would like to replace it by another screen. My concerns are:

    1) Can T400 CCFL LCD be replaced with LED LCD, have same resolution?
    2) What is the part number/FRU number so that I can lookup for a good deal easily. I've heard that the screen with LG panel is much better, right?
    3) How much should it worth? I've see on ebay arround 90$ plus shipping. Not a good deal :).

    Thanks you guys,

You can replace the CCFL screen with a LED panel of the same resolution on the T400 but you have to change certain things such as the LCD cable and sub card to get it working. Have a read on this thread for more info.

OMG It's more complicated than my though. I'm think I'll find another CCFL screen or sell my machine off here.
Do you know the part number of WXGA+ CCFL 1440x900 with LG panel? How much and Is it worth to replace it rather than sell it off and buy a new one?
    Thanks.

You'll be looking at FRU number 42T0579 for the CCFL version of the LG-Philips LP141WP1-TLB8 panel. Prices will vary on where you get the panel from (screen panel vendors, eBay etc.) but be wary of "compatible" screens as usually they're not of the same panel.
