Hi,
I bought a T61 with vista. But I tried to install XP on my own. It failed. Luckily I got a set of recovery disks from my friend. But my main doubt is can I make a copy of the recovery Disks so that I Can use those recovery disks for my future use.
(I asked lenovo to send me the recovery disks for my laptop, and they send me the vista recovery disks. But I want recovery Disks of XP.)
Or should I Buy the recovery disks from lenovo instead.
Does the recovery Disks contain the operating system in itself. I donot ha see any key on the cds. So what should I do or where can I get a key if I start to install XP on my laptop.
Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions.

You certainly can copy them. I've done it with CloneCD, but I suspect the "Disc Copy" functions built into Nero, Roxio, etc. would do the trick as well.

I store image files of my recovery discs. Most burning software can make an image file.

Thanks a lot Ralf Hutter and ZaZ foryour quick replys.
But when I try to copy the cds into other cds by using nero copy disc option its is not letting me do that.
May be the rescue and recovery discs which I get from Lenovo are write protected.
Will you please people tell me the software which can break this or any other idea on how to go about from this point?
Awaiting your reply,

I used ImgBurn if that helps and have used the copies with no trouble.

CDBurnerXP (despite the name, it works fine on Vista) is an excellent burning program too - and a bit more user friendly than ImgBurn.
