Just wonder if its either something unfixable or something else, but my connection compared to others is not good.

(Just looking in windows, selecting my active connection and pressing status)

On the schools connecion I have 24-48Mbit while the others in my group have 54Mbit stable

Home I am less than 3 meters from my Dir-655 and have 75-125Mbit

Is this a X201 issue or something else?

I use a driver from 18-10-2010 from Intel for my 6200 NGN

(PS the other laptops in my group are discount laptops so I feel abit ripped off that my semi premium laptop has lesser wifi strength than theirs :( )

Have you checked if maybe you got a pinched cable or something? Though you shouldn't have to, but there are many factors in connection strength/throughput speeds. Or if you don't feel comfortable I would just call on-site.

Edit: Think I fixed it, it seems like I have much much higher output now :s not sure what I did, but must have been a somewhat loose connection

    But its nice :)
