I'm planning to buy a wireless mouse for my T61p. My laptop doesn't have built-in bluetooth feature.

    My choice would be:
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000
    http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wir...e_7/103-2972648-7874202?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

It says "2.4 GHz Bluetooth with First Connect technology". I'm not sure that I can use this mouse with my laptop. But, seems that it's gonna working since there is a small wireless receiver:

Please let me know this mouse works for me.

Also, are there any good recommendation for wireless mouse? Don't I need to buy wireless keyboard as well? Since I might use my laptop with external LCD a lot of time, it seems that external keyboard also will good.

Always choosing accessories are much more difficult than laptop ;) Oh, I have to find a sleeve as well.

Yes, you can use it. The USB dongle adds BT connectivity to your computer, so you can also use other BT devices.

Of course you can use the mouse (Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000) even though your laptop does not has bluetooth. No manufacturer will sell a bluetooth mouse without a (USB) bluetooth receiver (transceiver).

And there is of course a receiver with the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000.

Excellent machine by the way. Yes you can utilize the bluetooth mice without bluetooth built in because they come with their own BT receivers. I would suggest the Logitech VX Revolution mouse. Great mouse for portability, hand feel and feature set. For a keyboard i would also go down the logitech route also.

Are you going to use this mouse for gaming? If so, I would stick to a hardwired mouse.
