Can I set up video profiles for dock/undocked settings?

I am getting a Advanced Mini Dock (should be here Tuesday), and I was wondering if I can set up video profiles. I have a 22" WS External LCD that I want to be the main monitor when I dock, and the laptop LCD to be the secondary. I was wondering if it automatically keeps the settings when I undock and dock again or if there are any applications I need to change/edit to get it to work like this.

    Thanks in advance.

The video profiles should be separate. I hook up my old CRT monitor to my laptop and I notice that the color profiles change when I connect or disconnect the CRT.

Well how do I set specific options? There has to be a setting somewhere.

Ok good, I have the same card.

There is an NVIDIA Control Panel you can access to set up multiple displays including their profiles.

    What is your output resolution?

I set my monitor resolution to 1680x1050, but it looks HORRIBLE... The text is blurred and seems to be running at a lower resolution. When I press the settings button my my external monitor it says it is running at 1600x1200.

    The monitor is a Acer 2216W - 22" WS

It's best to run LCD's at their native resolution. What is your 22"'s native resolution?

1680x1050 is the 22" native resolution, but it looks really bad compared to my desktop which was hooked up to the monitor...

Plus 1680x1050 is the highest resolution that I can select for the external monitor

EDIT: My monitor is a cheap 22" inch but I am comparing quality to my desktop which there is a big difference.

I might just go buy a 19" Sammy b/c I won't need that big of monitor with the laptop screen anymore.
