I'm afraid the monitor will suck the juice out of my laptop very quickly, or it won't be powerful enough. The Lenovo Y50 model I have is the $1,450 version.
Here's the exact monitor I'm looking at.
LG 34UM65: 34â Class 21:9 UltraWide⢠IPS Monitor (34.0" Diagonal) | LG USA
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Should be able to without a hitch. Those Y50's are powerful machines.

I'm using my Lenovo Y50 hooked to a 22" Monitor now, and I've noticed no problems with performance. It shouldn't be that hard to just swap out the monitor for another one. But yes, I hook it up through the HDMI port.
Can I hook my Lenovo Y50 to a 34 Inch Ultra Widescreen monitor?
