Hi! I`m looking to order one of the latest Lenovo laptops directly from their site. Problem is that my credit card is issued by foreign (Ukrainian) bank. Can I use it to pay for the purchase? Thanks a lot!

My understanding is that the only international CC Lenovo accepts is American Express but I have no idea if anyone successfully used a American express card issued in Europe. (You also need a US shipping address but there is several companies like shipito.com offering forwarding services).

I have an US shipping address, this is not a problem. But I cant get AE card because there are too high requirements to get it in Ukraine (only VERY rich people can afford it). So I`m seeking any opportunity to pay with my Visa. Thanks anyway)

your billing and shipping addresses would need to be in the US unless paying via AMEX.   the only alternative would be bank wire transfer.

but, before you purchase a system in the US for use in the ukraine, first make sure it's covered by international warranty.   without IWS, you'd be on your own in the event of a service claim.

And is it possible to pay Lenovo via wire transfer? I can do it, it is not a problem too. Do they accept such payment method?
Concerning international warranty - I think that all Thinkpads are covered by IWS. I just checked the T400 via your link (thanks by the way) and it is covered. Checked also T410 - Lenovo site says that support isnt available outside the USA (maybe it is because they just added this model and it will be covered by IWS in the nearest time)

like i said above, bank wire transfer is possible.   i'm not familiar with the exact process for a purchase from the ukraine so you'll need to contact lenovo sales for details.

not all systems are covered by IWS.   if they were, there wouldn't be an IWS lookup page (and i wouldn't have recommended checking IWS status). :p

I dont know this) There are lot of Lenovo laptops on eBay, but I can get better (or equal) prices + possibility to configure the laptop by myself, so I need to buy directly from them. I will call to Lenovo in the nearest time and will post their answer here.

customers in the virgin islands would of course use the US site.   but, to ship there, the CC used needs to have a billing and shipping address in the USVI.

You need to lock in the price you are willing to pay by getting a firm quote before you figure out your payment method. Just a heads up but it could change on you quickly.

Why not call Lenovo sales? How could any answer here be more useful than the one coming from the people taking your CC?
