    Hey!

I have the Lenovo ideaPad Y580
    Specs:

    Processor
Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHz (Intel Core i7)

    Memory
    8192 MB, DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz

    Graphics adapter
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M - 2048 MB, Core: 970 MHz, Memory: 1375 MHz, 306.02, Optimus

    Display
15.6 inch 16:9, 1366x768 pixel, LG Display LGD01E9, TN LED, glossy: yes

    Harddisk
128 Gig OCZ SSD + 64 gig mSata Samsung

I managed to get it to 135+ mhz in MSI After burner, but that's my cap. I tried using Nvidia inspector as well, but all I seemed to have managed is to get it to the boost clock of 1085 but it get's up there anyways using Nvidia's boost in games.

My goal is to get it to 1000 mhz before Boost. My memory I manged to do a stable 250+ mhz.

    Thanks for the help/input! :)

Depending on how you OCed it, if you restarted your computer then the card may have reset back to default and might have made your games run smoother (sometimes OCing causes artifacts/stuttering).

How did you get 135/250 stable?

I'm on 115/200 and sometimes I still get 'Video Hardware Error'.

    each chip has different limits.

yeah, a lot of Asus users have commented on being able to push the card to 300 mhz I can't even get 100% stable 250 Mhz. 200 mhz is fine and 135 mhz is 100% stable :).

on a side note, i emailed nvidia, and they said the card will run up to almost 100c, but will throttle from added heat.

have you tested to see if there's any throttling?

GPUZ shows a constant 1080 mhz for the core, my temps never go above 71 Degrees Celsius.
