    hey guys,

I recently got an x25-m g2 80gb ssd for my t500 and it doesnt seem to be hitting the benchmarks that other people are getting.. so im trying to narrow it down and might be my t500 at fault.

I will be posting my AS-SSD benchmarks up soon, but if people can post theirs up, please do!

    thanks

    edit:

comparing them to others i've seen, my 4k benchmarks and access times seem to be off

could it be cause of the laptop?

Your benchmarks seem very good. Remember test benchmarks are on all comparable systems in controlled conditions. Stop worrying about the synthetics so much and just enjoy your SSD.

    OK

Your benchmark is really slow. There is clearly something wrong. You should worry.

As others have said, the benchmarks you posted are excellent. Have you not experienced a night-and-day difference in boot-up/shutdown/application execution, etc., compared to the fastest hard drive that you've ever owned?

    Enjoy your SSD. ;)

ok.. i can relax now and stop being paranoid :) I do enjoy it but it was quite an investment to make at this point so just looking out

    thanks everyone for the posts!

and one last thing.. you have to manually trim with the intel matrix (something..) drivers right?

I don't believe the latest Matrix driver support TRIM. I use the Intel SSD optimizer and run it on schedule once a week to TRIM my drive.

Here's mine. It's a bit faster than the other 80GB drives on here, but I think it's because it's nearly empty 'cept for Windows 7 and a few apps.
