Does their order status page simply fail to update, or am I going to get charged for a laptop I cancelled?

I'd really like to know what's going on here, any insight is greatly appreciated. :D

Keep calling them. If the laptop still says 'in process,' they could in theory still put it 'in production' and 'shipping.' Keep calling them, and ask for written notification that it will be canceled with no fees attached if you are concerned about it.

I'm pretty sure Levono is swamped with all the T61 problems their dealing with, but it shouldn't take a week to update an automated system.

in process means they haven't cancelled for you yet. If they did, the order status page should give you error by the no-longer-valid order number.

you can cancel it by sending email. I did that and my order was cancelled successfully.

Took 2 days for it to update when I contacted them by email, but it worked out perfectly. I would email and just wait a bit.

true, although in my case it took 4 days for them to reply.
It's better than keep calling and hold for more than 30 mins everytime.. ;)

I put in two orders 10 hours apart, changed my mind on the first one and when I decided to upgrade I couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I put in the second order. The following morning I called and cancelled the first order, the rep said it would happen right away, I verified that it did with her on the phone and confirmed. So when you cancel an order it should happen immediately, I would call again.

The woman I talked to the first time did say that the order was cancelled, I just wondered if the same change took effect on the website. Did the website status update for those of you who called?

Just an update on this... turns out, the order was not cancelled, I called again today to confirm this, and the rep I talked to today cancelled the order once and for all.

I called twice to cancel and emailed today to cancel as well....and it's still 'in progress'....I have kept a copy of my email and the delivery receipt which was generated in case I need them.

it happened to me too. I ended up email them and they canceled my order. So.. i suggest email them to insure it is actually canceled. In the email, you should provide them the order number and your customer number.
