Perhaps intel finally sent Lenovo some CPU's ... (or perhaps Lenovo staff raided the bins out the back of Acer)

I ordered just as the supply of screens/cpu's dried up ... was told to expect late June/July at the earliest. Lenovo contacted me to "transition me to another model" but I told them to keep the order in the system as long as possible as I got a decent coupon discount.

    FWIW, I ordered i7-640LM, 4GB, 128G SSD

I've spent the last couple of weeks looking for an alternative brand/model as my X20 really cant cut it any more.... but nothing else seemed "just right" ... so what a nice surprise to get the shipping notification!

Lenovo sent some Ninja to Acer's contract manufacturer and stole some i7 CPU from them.

My online order status doesn't have all the parts listed... from memory the order was...

i7-640LM (chose battery life over horsepower)
    4GB,RAM (2 x 2G)
    128G SSD
    1440x800 screen WXGA+ LED 3x3 WWAN
trackpoint but no trackpad - cant remember if I got the finger print reader
    5in1 card reader + modem
6300 wireless networking (no idea if better than default - seemed good idea at the time)
6 cell battery (didnt want bulk sticking out the back)
    win7 64bit

    ...no bluetooth (I think)
...no 3G WWAN (will go USB to ensure works with picky ISP and with external antenna for remote areas)

    did you get the 640LM (i.e. 2.13 GHZ) or the 620LM (i.e. 2.0 GHZ)?

Does the x201s have a camera? The x200s did/does not.

Camera is not standard or an option for the X201s. Only for the X201 and X201t.

No camera on the x201s - doesnt fit with the high-res 1440x900 screen
*looks in mirror* - not necessarily a bad thing!
