Amazing. If I could live with non-widescreen, I would so jump on this. Being a FatWalleter, i can vouch for the "hotness" of this deal lol

that is just an insane deal man... i mean... that is a pretty high end laptop... only downers is the 1 GB RAM, CD burner, and the HDD. All of that can be easily upgraded... except for the CD burner.

I may be mistaken but this deal is for non widescreen models only.
    It's a great deal anyway.

Just dropping a quick word in here, that any of you looking for a WSXGA+ in the 15.4" T61p model, it was JUST released. Pretty sure it doesn't have WUSB, but it's a few hundred dollars cheaper then when it was released. The 25% off really cuts it down to the $1700, even with all the best specs! The additional coupon doesn't work, but I'd thought I'd give everyone a chance to jump on this new item!

Cr@p! I'm jumping in on this deal and ordering that T61p I originally wanted but didn't exist at the time except in the tabook. I'll figure out with to do with my T61 WXGA+ later. :(

It's nice to see that the 15" T61p is back up there. Hopefully WSXGA+ is a little bit easier to fulfill than WUXGA.

I'll be buying one if I can sell my M70 before the sale ends and if I can decide whether I want the 14" or 15"...

I thought the intel wifi was the cheapest? I've heard that certain wifi cards can generate a lot of heat. You may want to investigate that matter if temperature is a concern for you.

*edit, nevermind, that is for the x61

Create a price quote for the exact same configuration of your machine and then call Lenovo for a price match, they will credit you the difference if it has been 21 days since it shipped.

Everyone... I fear this might have ended on 8/31. I was able to make the USPTSERIES14 work this afternoon, but now that I'm ready to order I cannot make it overlay with the current 25% off.

Can someone else test it and make sure it's not a Cookie issue with my machine? I cleared them but still cannot make it work.

What are my chances of asking Lenovo to do a price match on an offer which has expired?

I tried it looks like the deal is dead....

Lenovonwill not price match on a dead deal, your only chance is if you saved the quote, then you could order and price match

Good advice. Although I emailed myself many carts, the one with the 20% discount was NOT one of them. I saw on another site that this was supposed to be good until 9/4 so I didn't think it was time-critical. I may ring them in the AM and ask about it. Dooes anyone know if their reps know the coupon codes or are they more or less order-takers? It's been a long time since I've actually had to call to order something.

you actually have to have a quote number in order for Lenovo to pricematch, you would just build the computer and checkout, as if you were really buying the computer, on the credit card screen it will give you the quote option. You would then get an email with a quote number in it. Call up Lenovo and they will ask for the quote number and they will pricematch. The Cart Saving thing won't work.

Thanks. I checked it out and they have pretty much the same coupon codes as the other sites... USXNARTRIPLE and USPTSERIES14. Maybe it's just not working right at this moment, because I saw on the NAR site that the NAR discount was stackable with the 25% off. Since I don't appear to be getting any discount (besides the 25%) it's possible there is an error with their site.

I'm hoping that is what it is, because I was ready to order 2 machines tonight.

Thank you, that's what I wanted to know. If I can turn a cart into a quote and have the person on the other end pick it up, that's what I will do. It will save a lot of time and my question of stackable coupons will be answered quickly... either they will or they won't (seems they should given that NAR is stackable on top of the sale and the Labor Day hasn't even happened yet and that coupon doesn't work either!)

I cannot express how disappointing it is to be so excited about ordering a new toy (which I don't really need) only to have the code not work! Maybe this is a subliminal message telling me not to mess with the perfect T60 I've had for about a year.

One thing I can say about Lenovo is that they are quick to terminate good deals when too many people jump on them....if you plan on buying...just buy it...do not hesitate..especially how Lax_traveler said he planned on buying 2 machines, but kept procrastinating on it. Another good reason why not to wait is that the more orders in front of you...especially on a good deal, the longer you will 'probably' have to wait on shipment...hope this is a lesson well learned....if you definitely want it...have the money for it...do not wait..especially with lenovo

for others who are awaiting putting together enough credit or funds to pay for your purchase...this comment was not for you

Yes, I just did it and they have credited my card with the difference. Just an email to them with the lower price quote and a copy of the original invoice. Took about 24 hours for them to reply and another 24 for the business office to send the credit.
