Hi guys,
I bought Lenovo Z510 with Pentium 3550M with the idea to replace it later. And now the time has come.
I want to ask if its possible to update to any i7 MQ cpu? I noticed the same laptop being sold with i7-4700MQ, but I'm worried about heat issues. Will additional cooling be required for this? Or should I just stick to the i7 M cpu update?

^This video shows how to open up the laptop, and you can upgrade to a 4700MQ, Note that a CPU upgrade voids the warranty. Good luck. -

I was mostly worried for the heat issues, but I guess its gonna be okay.

Check your laptop's Hardware Maintenance manual for a full list of all supported CPU's in the notebook.
