I intend to buy a X230 with the i5-3210M processor. I currently have an R400 with this memory.

Could I use my R400's memory for an after market upgrade on the X230? Here are the specs for the processor. Relevant info from the specs: "Memory Types: DDR3/L/-RS 1333/1600"

It seems the i5-3210M supports 1333 MHz memory, but I don't know what the L/-RS means.

    Thanks.

The Ivy Bridge memory controller takes DDR3 1333MHz or 1600MHz. The two modules you already have will work on the X230.

(The DDR3L standard is 1.35V. The RS in DDR3L-RS stands for "Reduced Standby.")
