    Dear all,

any official news on new T Series?

CES is over, but there is nothing but some new Edges and a bunch of Ideapads came out from Lenovo.
I just red about a prototype of T420s, but the infos is still vague.

    fixed link from above

The new Edges and X120e are supposed to be available in April. I expect new T's and X's to be at least orderable before that, so the new slim Edges in particular don't cannibalize the proper Thinkpads too much.

There is *SOME* new info on the T420s. Here in this thread (Compliments to JaneL): T420S? can't wait for it? when?! - Lenovo Community

Almost towards the end, you'll see an actual Lenovo employee posted SOME specs regarding the new yet to be announced T420s. As of now, this is the ONLY piece of information that I'm aware of. I'm really hoping they will announce SOMETHING of the new W/T/X series very soon !

According to the link posted in the lenovo forum they've moved to a 2.5" drive bay in the T420s. This to me confirms the use of the mPCIe SSD. This is benefits the X-series the most, but in the T-series this should allow having an SSD, large size HDD and ultrabay battery.

There was also a reference to making the T420 lighter - I wonder how much lighter it can be made.

Links about T520 above not working - no domain name in them.

Reading from chinese pages doesnt say anything about mSata support in X series.
I hope they just didnt have details to share and that SSD+HDD is going to be possible.

I think that the newer thinkpad will have a msata ssd and a physical harddrive. I mean this is what lenovo is promoting this year. Showing tech demo on their laptop booting up faster than the macbook air and the hybrid drive that they fail they show last CES but fail to deliver for the year 2010.

I think he wanted to point at this HERE.
That's what the links looks like, but with no domain in it :)

It's a very vague article... of course Lenovo will bring Sandy Bridge to T series.
