It seems that Lenovo allows thinkpad owners to purchase thinkpad protection coverage AFTER they purchase their computer for $89 (for 1 yr of coverage). $119 for on-site service. What's to stop thinkpad owners from just getting the standard warranty when they buy their computer and upgrading to accidental damage protection only when/if they drop their computer or spill something on it? If I buy the additional coverage in six months, then call them up the next day and say "whoops, I dropped my computer," can they deny the claim?
