    Hi
I need to buy a new screen.

I currently have 1200x800 resolution, but i see in their website ( Lenovo Support & downloads - Detailed specifications - Lenovo N100) that there is a higher resolution option (the 1680 x 1050 one).

    1200x800 for 76+8 = $84:
    ( NEW LENOVO 3000 N100 15.4" WXGA LAPTOP LCD SCREEN - eBay (item 220516698262 end time Sep-21-10 14:52:22 PDT))

    1680 x 1050 for $115:
    ( New LENOVO 3000 N100 15.4" WSXGA+ LCD Screen Glossy A+ - eBay (item 170326993637 end time Sep-22-10 00:50:22 PDT))

    1. WILL IT FIT MINE?

    2. SHOULD I PUT THE EXTRA $50?

I will really appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks (-:

there is not lot of information on the Lenovo N100, since there is no hardware manual like that of the Thinkpad.

Well, you're not going to have 100% certainty that the LCD will fit, and with no HMM it might be a bit difficult to figure out how everything goes together. Also, you might need other parts such as a new display inverter and LCD cable for the higher resolution screen, depending on how everything is set up. You're likely the first person to do this mod on your model of notebook, so you might have to do a little bit of trial and error.

However, since the eBay seller seems to list this as a compatible part for your notebook it's a safe bet that it'll fit. But without knowing if your current inverter and LCD cable are going to be up to the task of driving the higher resolution display you might have to get those parts if the display doesn't work right off.
