Thinking of picking up a T410s on ebay for $1200. Can someone please tell me if this is a good price. Decided to go with the 1440x900 resolution rather then waiting for the T420 with 1600x900.
After owning a number of Macbook Pros, Alienware (m17x, m15x), I realize at the end of the day, I just want to type on a Thinkpad for non leisure (work) stuff. That keyboard and trackpoint is a epic exprience. Epic engouh for me to deal with the poor screen. I really wish Lenovo will listen to there customers and give better screen options.

Is it brand new? Looks good to me assuming you don't gotta pay tax.

I have the same question. I think its worth if it's new, esp compared with official price, see this page , it costs more than $1500

Standard warranty only? On site service? Accidental damage?
Looks good, T410s can get quite pricey. -
Is this a machine with optimus technology or just regular nvidia gpu.
-
Its a TopSeller (pre-configed) model. It has the Optimus with the Nivida 3100m. I am guessing this is just the basic 3 year mail in warranty with no accidiental coverage. I could be wrong. Guys know if I can buy the accidental later on as a add-on?
Thanks, -

You can always check up the warranty on Lenovo's website. I don't know whether or not you can add accidental damage later on.

I just got a t410s from the lenovo refurb sale... and I have to say it is AWESOME ...

Free ship, no tax & 3 year warranty -- looks good to me assuming the seller is reliable. I paid about that much (total was more after tax) for a similar configuration (except 2GB ram and 1 year warranty).
As for the "poor screen," I disagree. Mine has a very decent screen with excellent brightness and good viewing angles. Contrast is fine. I haven't tried photo editing on it, but where it might be weak is in colour rendition -- just looking at the standard "Think" wallpaper I can see some dithering in the lower part of the screen. -

That's a pretty decent price at $1200 once you figure in the graphics, 128gb SSD and 3yr warranty.
-
I have to agree I think the price of $1200 is better than the price I paid since I am going to be spending 250 on an SSD... and still yours will be better with the warranty and the fact that it is NEW
-
Just wondering, but did you buy the laptop, I went to ebay to look it up and there is no laptop near that price, I hope you got it... it is a great deal

There was 3 listings for it at the $1200 price. I got one of them. I think its all gone now. Its gonna be here tommorrow so pretty excited.
