Hi I am set on getting a T400 for college and this configuration sound really ideal for me, I was wondering if I am getting a good deal for it.

Operating system: Genuine Windows Vista Business 64
Display type: 14.1 WXGA+ TFT, w/ CCFL Backlight, Camera
System graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 3470 with 256MB
Total memory: 2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM) ---> I'm buying another 2GB stick of NewEgg
Pointing device: UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad)
Hard drive: 250 GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
Optical device: DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim (Serial ATA)
System expansion slots: Express Card Slot & 7-1 Media Card Reader
    Bluetooth: Integrated Bluetooth PAN
Wireless card: Intel WiFi Link 5300 (AGN) with My WiFi Technology
    Battery: 6 cell Li-Ion Battery
1 Yr Depot Warranty ---> I can extend it later

    Total: $1,000.45 through CCP
Now should I wait a little longer to see if I can get a better deal through coupons or is this good enough.

Assuming you mean CPP, then it's unlikely you'll squeeze any more money out of the configuration. You might get lucky if there's some big promotion but rarely do promotions beat CPP pricing, and coupons are seldom stackable with CPP.

It'd be worthwhile to check with your college bookstore or technology center to see if they have any special packages with Lenovo. Sometimes colleges do and they might kick in two or three years onsite warranty with accident coverage. My school did that and the deal was better than the same config through CPP. Still, that seems to be the exception and CPP is typically the best deal you'll get if you're not an employee.

If you still have time before you need the system, then take your config and save it as a quote (an option on the checkout page). They'll honor the quote for 30 days. That way if something better comes along you can order that, and if something better doesn't come along you order from the quote.

Either way I'd get your order places at least three weeks before needing the system. You don't want to risk some delay or hiccup causing you to be one of those people who frantically post about how their system shipped late and won't arrive until after they've left for college. That's just poor planning.
