    Hi

    I'm now buying my X201.

I have selected Windows 7 64bit, but I am offered the "Genuine Windows XP Professional Recovery DVD - English" option, and not a "Windows 7 Recovery DVD". Is there no win7 dvd? or do they really mean that by selecting the XP recovery dvd, they will send me a win7 dvd? I'm very confused.

Also, can I rely on the quality of the Lenovo SSD with no trim, or should I seriously buy my own? (I'll be doing video editing)

    Thanks

    Adam

There is no Windows 7 DVD. Most manufacturer do not give you a Windows disc. It's been this way the PC/Notebook industry for years. You do have the opportunity to burn of a set of recovery discs when you get your machine, which I'd highly recommend you do promptly. They will not do a clean install, but will restore your X201 to its factory state.

You can download windows 7 discs from microsoft. Just do a clean install and get the system updater utility from lenovo, it will then get all the relevant drivers.
