    Hi all, I have posted this question in 'What Notebook should I Buy' section, but I thought I had put it in an inappropriate place.

    I've searched in Internet, researching about Thinkpad x200 price. I found some chinese company, who sell Thinkpad in very cheap price. Here is the price tag :

    ShenZhen YuanDa electronic Trade Co., Ltd.
    ThinkPad X200 7457AU2 --> 450usd/pcs
    ThinkPad X200 7454HT2 --> 530usd/pcs
    ThinkPad X200 74595FC --> 620usd/pcs
    ThinkPad X200 7458B78 --> 740usd/cps

    All is including tax and shipping (but for single buying, you have to add extra USD 30). They said that their product is 100% original and brand-new. They said they can give low price because they get it directly from Thinkpad manufacturer. They even provide cash-back guarantee if the notebook is not appropriate with my requirement.

    Of course, it gave me some suspicious thinking, especially after reading some time ago about counterfeit Thinkpad coming from China.

    So :
    1. What do you think, guys? Is there any one having experience doing transaction with such Chinese sellers, who can share theirs?
    2. One guy told me that that x200 type is customized, and I should watch very carefully about its specs etc. Is it common for Thinkpad seller to sell their own customized Thinkpad? I only know one, that is Microsoft Store. CMIIW.
    3. What is the best way to know the difference between the original Thinkpad with the counterfeit one?

    Thanks a lot for your response :)

    My advise... only buy from where you can get custom service. Therefore you can get proper warranty and allows you to get hold on someone if anything happens.

    NO.
    There are typos and instead of Lenovo, "Thinkpad" is listed along side the other manufacturers such as Sony, Acer, etc.

    Prices seem tempting, but as long as you cant go over to their shop and see them live you shouldnt buy one. IMO.

    Sorry for asking stupid question :D , what does 'custom service' mean?

    Yea.. I'm 80% won't buy from them. I'm just curious to know if there is someone who has done business with online China sellers, and share their experience :)

    Living in China I can say what these guys sell are USUALLY legit, but they may have some questionable practices. Plus, I get to actually go to their offices and see the product so it's a little different...

    Final advice, if you don't get to see it don't buy it in China
