    yep, should work fine with a t61p. i hate mail in rebates though, i like instant gratification. look around some more for different deals at newegg.com, frys.com, etc.

    but it's definitely not bad if you don't mind mail in rebates :D

    Yes, it will work fine in the T61. Stay with good brands like Crucial, OCZ, Kingston, Corsair etc and you should be fine. Also make sure the memory you get has a lifetime warranty. I am pretty sure this one does, but double check at crucial's website. If you shop around for rebates and such, you can probably get a better price.

    Remember to use Google Checkout to make it a slick deal to you :D It ends in the end of this month anyway

    I applied for a Buy.com Visa card and got a $30 credit. So the grand total for me for 2GB of ram comes out to be....

    $5 :)

    The Google checkout thing only works for first time customers so maybe someone else can try using it with the rebate and $30 Visa credit and get paid $5 to add 2GB to their laptop. :)
