I can get a T61 for the price listed below ($845.31):

Should I buy this now, or should I wait until summer. I am really getting this laptop for college, but I am dying to buy it, and use it soon! If there would be laptops for similar prices that would be better, I would be willing to wait until farther into the summer.

I have heard some rumors (I am not sure if they are true) saying that Thinkpad is supposed to be coming out with new laptops this summer, so I am hesitating about buying a laptop now.

One final question: With the video card selected, and a 6 cell battery, how many hours of life should I expect to get (and also, is it possible to underclock the video card to extend this when it is not in use)?

EVERYONE will come out with new notebooks utilizing the Montevina platform components in about a month.

Given past experience, there will be quite a wait for the new systems, and they will initially be expensive. Of course, the current systems will still be available for quite a while.

If you really want it get it. Keep in mind there is always going to be something new and better no matter what. Although when the new laptops come out you won't be able to get the same deal! I say you order it now.

Do they normally offer the old laptops for the discounted prices after they release new ones? The only other thing I could do is save a price quote (see the wiki), and then use that in case there are no better deals on the laptop before 21 days are up (I assume that the price quotes still work even if coupons expire, correct?).
