    Hi,

I wann get the Thinkpad with the model number 6465 or 7658...both dont qualify for IWS as it says on the Lenovo page.

Does anybody know how I can obtain Internatinoal Warranty?

    I need it in Germany.

    thank you!

You could get a pre-configured machine from fx Euclid Computers. They do int'l deals. As I am sure you know warranty coverage is determined by the type number.
The following T60s are covered in EU (there might be others as well):
    1951, 1952, 2007, 2008, 8741, 8742 and 6369

The following T61s are covered in EU (there are probably others too):
    7663, 7659

ok1.de has good deals too, but they do not beat US prices. Especially if you are considering a T6xp model or an X6x.

Edit: To answer you question: As far as I know one cannot extent the areas in which a TP is covered. I called Lenovo DK a last week to ask the exact same question, as a X61 from the TopSeller fitted my needs perfect. The nice guy told that I would not be able to upgrade my warranty to have it covered in Denmark. The reason is that they cannot gurantee part availability for some types. . .
