Can anyone please explain the build quality of both the Essential and IdeaPad line. Is the build quality similar to that of the Dell Inspiron and HP Envy? Thanks.

Build quality is pretty good in that it doesn't feel cheap and looks pretty cool. Reliability is a whole different issue. If you are comparing companies then Lenovo is definitely 3rd world stuff compared to HP and Dell. Makes me wonder about their ThinkPad line with how sh!ty the design and support of the Y500 is.
