    Hey all,

So right now, I'm looking heavily to get the IdeaPad U150 which was announced just about a month ago. They have two configurations, one which is red and one which is black, with some differences.

My main concern is that the red one comes with a Broadcom 802.11g Wi-Fi network card while the higher-end black one comes with an Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 5100 network card. How is the Broadcom compared to the Intel?

I'd like to get the red one for my sister for college, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Honestly, there's probably not much of a difference either way.

besides that some older broadcom models may have trouble to work with linux, in my experience.
