The brightness on my R400 does not seem to be correct. It's on the highest brightness level but it doesn't look very bright. I just got it today, and I remember that the brightness was pretty high when I first turned it on. I set the battery threshold at to charge at 25% and stop at 75%. Right now it's at 58% because I didn't let it drain below 25%. The fn+brightness doesn't make it brighter, and the power manager settings is not helping either. Is it because the battery is not fully charged? I am using AC power with battery at 58%.

Also the fn shortcuts aren't working for me at all...(nothing happens when I use them and don't even show up on the screen)

What seems to be happening to me is whenever the computer comes out of sleep, the brightness is lowered and I can't do anything to adjust it. Does anyone know why this is?

Also, the fn seems to not work for some functions. For example, when I want to use the "find" feature with 'fn+f', it doesn't work. And I can't find the model number of this computer when I go to the drivers and installations page on lenovo. It's an R400 with model number CTR but CTR is not listed on the page. Why is this?
What is the link to the BIOS installation for R400's? Are they are the same or do I have to enter all my information to get an appropriate BIOS download/update?
