    Hello,

Sorry if I ask this questions :D
This morning I've tried to boot my SSD using external case with USB 2.0 .. AHCI mode is up, and I can see the opening screen of Win7, but after that, the magnificent BSOD shows its muscle, lol

changed the bios config, deactivate the AHCI mode, going through Win7 opening screen, and still the BSOD pop up ..

my bios is using middleton's bios and my question is ..
what is the best "external boot" if I want to use 3rd hdd (one hdd in primary bay, ssd in secondary bay, and old hdd on external case)?

I've read a few review on the net .. saying that eSATA connection is better than USB 2.0, but USB 3.0 has the fastest transfer rate atm ..

but I cannot boot from my SSD from USB 2.0 even I know the transfer rate is very poor when using USB 2.0 .. did I miss something here?

Thank you for your answer ..

I think you need a special modified Windows to be able to be bootable from USB, cause as soon as Windows boots up it ejects all USB for a split second and then reconnects thus causing the BSOD. It's akin to yanking out SATA connector of your desktop hard drive and reconnecting it.
