If you bought a bluetooth mouse to go along with your new Thinkpad T400/T500/T61 etc. which one did you get and if there were any problems with them.

I was thinking of getting either

IOGEAR GME229B Tilt Wheel Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Wireless Laser Mouse
    or
    Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000

with my experience with BT mice, i wouldn't get one. they tend to fall asleep after a short idle time and require a nudge or a click to wake it up. it got annoying with me.

i just picked up a vx nano for $50.99 fyi

I'm using the Lenovo BT mouse and find it great. I have used many versions of Microsoft and other brands of wireless mice and find the Lenove BT well built with good range and excellent response.

I used a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and switched to a Wireless Presenter Mouse 8000 when I found Amazon had them on sale for $35 a while ago.

Both work fine. I love not messing with a dongle or with cords. Yes, if you've not used the mouse in a while you need to bump it and wait a couple seconds. It's not been an issue for me, but some people might find it annoying. I don't like messing with a dongle and

One thing to note -- with a bluetooth mouse you cannot change what the buttons do. This may be a dealbreaker for some, but since I'm happy with the normal arrangement it's a non issue.

im using the microsoft mobile memory mouse.. it's pretty cool :) i picked up one for cheap on ebay. the nice thing about it is that it comes with both a USB dongle (for laptops that don't have BT) and a switch that turns on BT mode.... it also looks like a hockey puck =p

ps, you can change what the buttons do on the mobile memory moues. although i dont understand why would it be any different than any other bt mouse.

I've got the Lenovo BT mouse.

The best thing about it is that there is no laser light reflecting off the surface.
Minor annoyance with other mice, but not with this one.

Response is okay, battery life is very good.

I bought 5000 model. I'm satisfied with everything but battery life. It could be that I'm a heavy computer dependent person, but I turned the power off whenever it's not on use and 2 AAA battries lasted little over one month.

Just to let note, the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 does not support customized buttons under microsoft's mouse software. Other bluetooth microsoft mouses do, just not the 5000 version. I got the 5000 and the 8000 version.

The 5000 version is longer and a decent hump and a segmented clicky wheel, while 8000 is shorter, and a bigger hump, but also with customizable buttons/rechargable battery/charge cord/1gb usb stick/smooth scroll tilt-wheel.

Both are very good. Ironically, the 8000 costed me less than the 5000, but I kinda like the longer shape, and clicky wheel, which are useful for long gaming sessions.
