I just got my new T61 unit with wxga+ LCD monitor two days ago, but I found the LCD monitor has blue tint background. What this means is: whenever I view a webpage or any software interface that has white background, the white color is not pure white, instead it is blue-ish white - blue tint.

I use Windows vista home basic on this computer. I've contacted Lenovo for this issue and they asked me to send the laptop back to them for check and possibly repair if they find the monitor is really problematic. However, before I send it back to them, I wonder if this is normal for T61 LCD monitor (wxga+)?

    Thanks

If you search the forums, what you may have is a Samsung screen versus a LG screen. The Samsung screens are reported to have a blue tint.

I do not have this experience but I'd suggest playing around with the colour / tint / gamma settings which should be able to correct this.

I've tried to adjust the color in the color correction option, but was unable to make the color look right. anyone with a T61 can post what values I should set for the Gamma, Brightness and Contrast?
