    My computer came crashed from lenovo. I had vista ultimate which would not work. Lenovo sent me vista business like retards. I am still waiting for my ultimate recovery disks. I used my xp recovery disks and now have xp. When I set my t400 into the docking station it only detects analog not dvi. Here is the problem, when i open presentation manager and select new trying to reach the detect wizard, my computer goes to blue screen telling my computer is shutting down to prevent damage. at the bootom it mentions physical memory dump.... when I called lenovo they said That was not good but dont worry your vista is on the way. I know lenovo is business oriented but I have very little experiance with computers. By the way i have discrete graphics activated, i have tried the integrated card with only the same results. any help?

    What is the STOP code you see on your BSOD above the memory dump text?

    from bugcheck
    "0xC0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation occurred. "
    >>> leads to more info
    from you
    "ati2mag.sys"

    sounds like video mem may be bad... since it occurred within ati.
    OR bad drivers....

    rereading your first post... it is your video card.... does the t400 have switchable?
    your ati card could be down while intel works.

    tried switching to integrated but a problem occured the screen resolution was to low 64x something. The problem is the window box is to large to fit on the screen so I cannot change the resolution becuase apply is not in the box and I can not move the box. updating ati driver as we speak , last time it could not install.
