I just dated my X300 using the most recent version of the Lenovo system update. i am running Windows XP.

When my computer boots up, I have a black screen which results from apntex.exe running but not closing what appears to be a dos or command screen.

I know that apntex.exe is a touchpad device driver for for Windows XP but having to ALT-TAB out of the window and then closing the window is a pain.

This obviously should not be happening but i have been unable to find anything that can help with this issue other then stopping the program from running in the first place (which I assume would have a negative impact on my touchpad).

Thanks for any assistance with this.

This is why I never update unless I have a need. You could go back to the old version I suppose.
