The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I just recently installed a ton of updates through thinkvantage system update. Now some problems I have include that thinkvantage system update does not open, I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it but during the reinstall it says it is still running and wont continue. Also the network management on vista does not work, it does not open and so i cannot manage my wireless networks. Any suggestions.

    try to get to "services" and see if any of the thinkpad system services are disabled.
