Hey guys! Today I ordered a refurbished X301 at a great price from the Lenovo outlet. It does not include the DVD burner - none with DVD burners were available. I'm fine with that- I'm willing to buy it separately.

Unfortunately, Lenovo doesn't sell the super thin DVD burner anywhere on their site except on the replacement parts page for $350. Is there anywhere I can get one cheaper than that? I'm not totally against forking over that much, as I got the notebook at a substantially reduced price. I'm just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and has found a better way to purchase a drive.

    Thanks!
    Chris

One option is to post a WTB ad on the thinkpads.com forum marketplace. All manner of equipment and accessories pass through that venue. Note that forum membership is required to participate in the marketplace. Membership there is worthwhile, as there are numerous ThinkPad enthusiasts--and flat-out obsessed nuts, too :p --who've created a solid community. Give it a look.

    Cheers,
