I would like to know which screen in the t61 is the brightest and clearest preffered by most users. Did the t60 series carry the same screens with the exception of the marvelous flexview screens that are no longer available.I want to give lenovo an order but I found them to be spec readers and not really caring about my needs.Lenovo doesnt list the nit ratings on the 15.4 screens so I have no idea which one of the three 15.4 resolution screens are the brightest.I would really appreciate some help. Do I order the 14inch sxvga+ screen as it is brighter than the base screen in 14inch but what about the 15.4 inch? I am over 50 and cant do the the ultra higher resolution so is the base wxa brighter and better looking than the wsxga screen.I wish there was a place you could see these screens side by side.I am pressured to get one of these soon as Lenovo wont be selling xppro soon.Tha

Lenovo publishes nit ratings for all of their screens. Download:
    ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitute/psref/tabook.pdf

    The WSXGA+ 15.4" is 200 nits.

If you want to get a FlexView, there are used ones available on eBay, many are still under warranty. The marketplace forum on ThinkPads.com is also another place to look for them.

Why would you replace your FlexView? Anything else is a downgrade in terms of the screen quality. Penryn isn't that big of a performance boost to justify it unless you have a specific need.
