So I have a need to replace some batteries in about 100 T61, and 15 X61 laptops. Since they still have a year or so left on warranty coverage, the company wants to play it cheap and doesnt want to pony up the money that Lenovo is selling the batteries for. Anyone got a good recommendation for 3rd party sellers?

Have tried outlet.lenovo.com?
Here are some alternatives that I heard are good.
eBay My World - acctogo
Laptop Battery One
Good luck.
ps: non-OEM battery causes error msg if you don't use authentic lenovo battery -
yeah look at the lenovo outlet- the scratch and dent and refurbished batteries work just fine and they're dirt cheap too- ~30-40$ the last time i checked

i don't think Lenovo stocks that many refurb or scratch dent batteries.
You can get the Boston Power battery for your T61, they are pretty good (provided that your T61 is not 14.1 inch widescreen model). -

I recently bought a battery for my T61 from a Hong Kong seller on ebay. It works fine and feels solid. I don't expect it to last any longer than the original, which began deteriorating after a year of mild use, but for only $34.90 including shipping, I don't mind if it needs replacing every year.
