What commercial store (Best Buy, Circuit City, ETC) is the best place to purchase a T60/T61. I don't want to wait over a month to get a computer.

Best Buy does not carry Lenovo laptops because Best Buy Business carries most of the business end laptops. Best Buy Business even carries a selection of ASUS business laptops.

IMO Staples is the best retailer to purchase a Thinkpad from. You are allowed to try the notebook for 14 days with no restocking penalty. The only downside is, not every Staples carry the same Thinkpads, which can be a good thing. They are also reasonably priced.

I recently purchased an HP notebook from Staples and the following day I returned it because I hated Vista. There were no hassles, they promptly refunded my money in full.

They also sell extended warranties in case you don't want to use Lenovo.

I don't think any stores will have the T61 as of yet.

I went to two separate Staples in my area and I saw a T60 and Z61 laptop.

I noticed Lenovo has a lame retail presence. Any store that does sell Lenovo laptops are selling outdated ones. I've combed Circuit City, Buy.com, and Staples.com, and they all sell Thinkpads still outfitted with Core Duo (Yonah) CPU's.

So really the only way to get a T60 is through the website?

My local best buy sells a T60 with the same specs as mine, 1.66ghz core 2 duo, x1400, dvd burner, ect... Except I paid $450 less than what they are selling it for! :D

I am not in Canada, but I need a laptop as soon as possible. I can't wait the 1+ month to get it from Lenovo.
