I have a T430 with the NVS 5400M and I am wondering which driver would be best for me to use if I am going to be doing some gaming? On the nvidia site there are several different options and I am wondering which one is best to use.

AFAIK gaming (with low-ish graphic settings) on your T430 is likely to be slightly improved with the NVS 5400M gpu, as opposed to the Intel integrated HD 4000 gpu.

On my T530 I get a slightly better WEI score (Windows Experience Index, which is found in Win7's Control Panel > System&Security > System > WEI). Namely HD4000=5.2/6.5 ("desktop" performance/gaming performance) vs NVS5400M=5.9/6.7

OTOH WEI is just a crummy benchmark; what counts is running whatever older/not-too-demanding game that you fancy.

Meaning that so far I haven't gotten around to trying a game on my T530. :D

FWIW I'm giving some serious thought to setting up my T530 with dual boot with 32bit Ubuntu 12.10 and Wine, which permits some of the older 32bit Windows games to run, which wouldn't run on 64bit Win7.

But still not sure about whether dual boot of Win7/Ubuntu works; see my recent tale of dual booting WinXP/Debian at: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lin...-tried-linux-mint-14-nadia-2.html#post9121378
