Currently run the CPUID app but it does not read my HDD temp for my Hitachi 7K500. Is there a free app that reads core temps, video card temps and hdd temps on a Thinkpad T400? Appreciate your help and thanks.

Thanks again. Installed PC Wizard and disabled ask Toolbar and installed tpfancontrol. Are there any tweaks in tpfancontrol that T400 users use that might be helpful. Don't really have any temp problems at present and usually run on integrated graphics. Thanks again.

Depending whether you like a cool laptop or a 'quiet' one.
Usually if you leave your laptop at night where you sleep you will benefitiate if you make the fan triggers at 50C or so centigrades. But if you use it daily with integrated graphics I think you already have a cool running machine, considering the fan most of the time runs in the 2,900rpm range.
