Battery reset is great. I have a 1 year ~8-9 month old Sanyo 6 cell for the T400. I did my first ever battery reset and went from 48 wHr back to 56. So Sanyo batteries aren't that bad after all.

I keep my battery at 35%/40% state of charge, and charge the battery to at most 80% because it's all I need.

Now my battery has the potential again for nearly five hours of work.

So yeah, keep good care of your battery and battery reset can help you regain capacity.

Which reminds me that I have to do this very soon. I said in a previous post elsewhere that I was going to do it, but have not yet got the chance. Will do so soon and will report back.

just my 2 cent, if you want only 35-40% percent of your battery, so does the capacity matter?

Oh I mean I use it from, say up to 80% all the way down to 5%. I just rarely charge it up past 80% because one, I rarely need that extra 20%, and two, hopefully this battery will last close to the lifespan of the computer.

Battery reset is in the power manager. Go to battery and then battery maintenance.

I have a 2 year old 9 cell that still gets 8 hours in linux. I think ill run this to see if I can get closer to the 10 I got when it was new.
