I'm plugged in but my battery is not charging, is this some 'feature' that's trying to help me or a glitch? How do I tell my T61 to charge the battery? Thanks.

When I mouse over the battery icon it says "plugged in, not charging" and the battery % is not going up or down. Lenovo's website doesn't say anything about it besides gems like "make sure your power adapter is plugged in"...

Have you checked your Battery Maintenance section under the Battery Information in the Power Manager? Maybe it was set to let the machine decide by itself whether to charge or not...
