    Battery meter is showing incorrect reading

    All of a sudden, my battery meters have been acting up.

    1) The Windows battery meter and IBM's Battery MaxiMiser are not in sync. (usually 1% difference)

    2) The charging percent stops at 97% and doesn't go any higher.

    What's going on with my battery meters?

    #1 - Happens to me to. Not really a problem.
    #2 - If you set your battery to maximum life, then, I would assume since it happens to me too, that the battery will not take the extra charge if it does not need it.

    I just did a full discharge and recharge and it's back to normal now.

    You should do that once every month or so. Also, if you don't discharge below 90% I believe it is, then it won't recharge.

    you should be able to set that percentage - IIRC mine came with 95% set
