    Battery life for 14" T61p /w 6-cell?

    My T61p is still in Alaska with UPS but I am wondering how much battery life should I expect with the 6-cell battery? I read the 15" T61p review which says the battery life for the 9-cell is about 3.5hour(and I assume the 6-cell on the 15" model will last for a little bit over 2 hours?). However since the 14" model comes with a smaller LCD and half the vram, I assume the 6-cell can last more than 2.5hours with just web surfing and 50% LCD brightness? :D

    With a 14" with a nvidia 140M and a 6 cell I get about 2:50 minutes. I think the 570M will be somewhere right around there as well.

    That sounds great. Anything above 2.5hours will make me happy. I was worrying that I should've ordered the 9-cell. :p

    Well, he said 2:50 MINUTES... Maybe it's a typo, but maybe he's exagerrating how much the battery life sucks.

    haha. Didn't see that. But that must be a typo.
    The 6-cell has 56Wh I believe, To draw all 56wah out of the battery with 2 minutes and 50 seconds, you need a 56Wh/(170sec/1hr)=1185watt notebook :eek: .

    I only get 3.5 hours from my t61 with integrated video card...

    with wireless on.

    haha no i meant 2 hours 50 minutes, sorry about that! This with everything on fairly low performance. I have my own custom profile but basically CPU speed - lowest, brightness - 8/15.

    I get a little over 2 on 70% brightness with the profile set to balanced.
