    Is it fine to disconnect power cable while computer is running to change to battery mode ?
    I mean if it wont harm my thinkpad and if I wouldn't loose any data or get disconnected from internet applications and servers.

    Same goes for if its fine to plug in power cable while being on battery ?
    (this option seems rather more safe to me, but maybe its about the same)

    So anyone tried it, doing it on regular basis ? Let me know please. I don't wanna harm my lappy.

    Thanks =)

    PS: I have a reason for doing so.

    This is perfectly fine. I do it all the time with my x200 and I probably did it 1000 times with my old T40.

    As a matter of fact a transformer just blew outside my office, I lost power, and my x200 seamlessly switched over to battery power without any lost work. Just make sure that you have your battery plugged in and with a decent charge BEFORE you unplug it.

    You can connect and disconnect the AC adaptor at any time , but it`s best to unplug it from the wall socket before you plug in or unplug the cable from the laptop!
