I just decided to install Windows 8 on my X220T.
I did a clean install. The problem is that my battery life is around 1h 40 minutes and I cant figure out what the problem is.
    Does anyone have any pointers?

    Reinstall Windows 7?

In all seriousness, did you reinstall the Power Manager and all the proper drivers?

Yes, installed all the proper drivers using Lenovo's update utility.

I think I may have found the problem. I think it is a program that starts up at boot that is causing the problem. I was playing around removing unessential programs from startup and power use dropped on reboot.

    Have it down to:
    Steam
    Adobe CS updater
    Adobe Acrobat Updater

I really do like Windows 8. Far cleaner and faster than Windows 7 so not keen to go back.
