I have a lenovo ideapad y450. I almost always have my laptop plugged in, but when I unplug it to use it, the battery life is very short. I have timed it and even when it says my battery life is at 100%, it only lasts for 8 minutes. Should I buy a new battery or is there anything else I can do?

8 minutes from full charge? Yikes, what's the wear level on the battery? You can find out by using an application called HWInfo32 and check the Smart Battery tab. If it has a high wear level then most likely you'll need to source for a new replacement battery.

I use Google Chrome and it says that the file can harm my computer. Is it safe?

Yes it is safe to use, I use this application frequently to monitor my computer status from time to time.
