    Hi,

Just got a new T60, I hear people should do battery calibrations during the first use? I can't seem to find it in BIOS, can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

Just charge it up fully the first use, and dont deal with any calibration until you have 15-20 cycles on it.

What you want to do is calibrate it regularly. I'm not so sure a calibration is needed for the first use, but you can do one just to be safe.

Charge it full, and then use the notebook on battery until it wants to shut down. Then recharge. Do this every 30 or so charges to keep your fuel gauge accurate.

Read more about the care and maintenance of Li-Ion battery packs in the battery guide.

I thought there was a program or somewhere through the BIOS this can be done automattically where the program runs down the battery at a constant rate, thus letting the batter gauger in Windows more accurately judge the battery level.
