    Batteries, T60 vs T61

    Do both models use the exact same spec batteries?
    Will the batteries taken out from a T60 fit the T61?

    It depends on which model of T61.

    The 14.1" 4:3 display and 15.4" widescreen use the same batteries as the T60. The 14.1" widescreen uses different batteries than the T60.

    The 14.1" widescreen R60/T60/R61/T61 battery part numbers are:

    4 cell: 41U3196
    6 cell: 41U3198
    7 cell: 41U3197

    And duffy's right, these are unique to the 14.1" widescreen models.

    EDIT: 6 and 7 cell part numbers were reversed - Nick

    The extra battery they sent me is 41U3198 but it says its 6 cell... not 7.

    So it won't fit a 15.4'' T61 ?

    Sorry, I did get the 6 and 7 cell part numbers reversed. The 14.1W battery is unique to the 14.1W. The info below is straight out of the Lenovo Tabook.

    Batteries:
    Only 14W models (14.1" widescreen):
    T60/R60 14W Standard Battery 4-cell 41U3196
    T60/R60 14W Enhanced Battery 6-cell 41U3198
    T60/R60 14W High Capacity Battery 7-cell 41U3197

    Only 14 standard (14.1") and 15W models (15.4" widescreen):
    T60/R60 Series Li-Ion Battery 6-cell 40Y6799
    Z60m/T60/R60 Li-Ion Battery 9-cell 40Y6797

    All models:
    ThinkPad Advanced Ultrabay Battery 3-cell 40Y6789
